Why get your International Driver's License from us?
International Driver's License is valid in all countries that have signed the 1949 Convention on Road Traffic and is also accepted in various countries that did not sign the Convention. There is a high possibility that in certain countries you will be required to hold an International Driver's License in order to be able to drive or rent a car.
In 2006 the November 8th, 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic was amended. This recent alteration requires the International Driver's Permit to enclose some additional personal information related to the driver. The aim of this new requirement is to assist the law officers in the event of an accident or any other emergency that may appear while operating the vehicle on foreign roads.
This document allows the driver to operate a motor vehicle while abroad but only when accompanied by the valid official Driver's License issued by the government.
The International Drivers License is slightly bigger than a common passport and basically is a multilingual translation of the official government-issued Driver's License.
The personal information included in the International Driver's License will assist the foreign law enforcement officers, alongside it will also help the driver to avoid unnecessary trouble for instance: penalties, fines or even arrest.
As previously mentioned this document is designed to avoid the unnecessary complications that might arise while operating a vehicle in foreign-language speaking countries.
Moreover, the International Driving Permit will serve as an asset in most car rental enterprises and to local authorities as an identification, car registration or for insurance purposes.
Prior to renting a car in a foreign country, it is strongly advised to make sure that you meet all the rental company requirements in order to avoid unnecessary trouble.
